Biology lab
Biology lab is an important aspect of Medical stream. Our biology lab is a wonderful place for children to nurture their inquisitiveness and enhance their scientific quests.The separate biology lab offers a conducive teaching learning experience for students of all classes.The biology lab is well-equipped with all required specimens to provide first hand knowledge to the students about the subject . keeping the latest syllabus in mind the models ,specimens, charts, chemicals etc. have been well planned. Students are guided by qualified teachers and lab assistants to complete their projects. In the biology lab, the students study detailed structures, morphological, histological and physiological aspects of plants and animals. Study of slides under the microscopes or studying the museum specimens kindles a natural curiosity towards Nature and instills a joy of learning the flora & fauna around us. All the equipment and specimens that we have in the lab are open for the school students to be used under careful supervision. This is a place where our students are given a chance to ‘discover’ before they are ‘told’. Children have the liberty to make models and projects by availing lab facilities.
Chemistry
Chemistry is the branch of science that studies the composition, properties and interaction of matter. Chemistry plays a central role in science and is often intertwined with other branches of science like Physics, Biology, Geology etc.Chemistry Lab is well equipped with all modern apparatus and chemical required upto XII with the seating capacity of about 60 students in the well ventilated hall,students are guided by by well qualified teachers and lab assistants to complete their projects and experiments.The lab is annually upgraded with the latest equipments and safety gadgets.The Chemistry laboratory is designed while keeping all the statutory norms and safety standards. It is well ventilated as well as spacious. It has some of the most accurate digital measuring instruments required for measuring chemicals. Here, a scientific attitude is developed in the students along with the ability to analyze, collate, compute, integrate and deduce. In the lab, the students learn to handle apparatus and chemicals. They improve their understanding of various chemical reactions and chemical processes. It enables personal verification of important experimental facts. Logic and reasoning skills that develop in this lab will go a long way in ensuring success in later life.
Physics lab
Physics is an experimental science. Performing experiments by one’s own hands is far more important because it involves learning by doing. It is needless to emphasize that for a systematic and scientific training of a young mind, a genuine laboratory is must.It is an ultra modern lab fully equipped with latest apparatus to provide the much needed facilities to the students of classes upto XII.Here students carry out their experiments in an innovative environment the lab caters to the requirement. Well planned, spacious and well equipped Physics lab has all the interesting sets of equipment to reinforce scientific and experimental concepts and facilitate in developing investigative skills. There are models, charts apparatus, kits, and experimental gadgets to cater the needs of students. In the Physics lab, students discover the law which governs a certain phenomenon or verify a given law which has been derived from a theory. The laboratory is also equipped with an Interactive board and an LCD projector that allows the teachers to incorporate the latest technology in their lessons to arouse the interest and curiosity of the students. Furthermore, the spacious physics lab is designed in a way to accommodate students comfortably.
Computer Labs
Technology advancement has affected every sphere of life especially education. This has changed our perception of what a school should provide for its students Computer learning at Sh. Mahabir Adarsh Sr. Sec. School starts right from junior section where the tiny tots get the exposure to the technology through play way method using audio, video and animation effects.Digital Education provides visual and audio process of learning to the students. It includes game based learning that boosts persistence in students. It adduces professional outcomes and provides creative & innovative environment for students. Our school enables student’s grasp concepts more quickly and effectively. Active engagement, Hands-on experience, discussions and flipped classroom allow students to experience learning that employs current theory of learning. Internet enables computer lab with over 30 computers to meet the students’ Information Technology needs. Trained and experienced teachers provide both theoretical and practical lessons for students to help them navigate a rapidly changing technology driven world.
